The Darnley Sycamore

I pass close to this frequently, it’s a 2 minute walk from the nursing home. Today I made the effort to blip it and check out what I thought I knew about it.

I was mostly correct, allegedly Lord Darnley and Mary Queen of Scots sat under the tree when she was nursing him back from an illness. It is quite close to Crookston Castle, the Darnley family home which I recall blipping in deepest lockdown.

I spent the after noon preparing lemon possets and chocolate chip shortbread biscuits for tomorrow. The latter all look slightly different despite my careful cutting skills. They do taste delicious so it’s a bonus that I forgot to halve the quantities.
