Sunflower story
After the sunflowers were finished in the garden , in November, I thought to keep the seed heads, dry them off and save them for the birds in the spring. Which I studiously did - storing about 15 of them safely in the shed in an old washing up bowl..
Hilariously I discovered last month that every last one of them have been eaten by mice, leaving flower heads and seed cases all over the place.
D'oh!
As it was such a nice day I decided to have a clear out which was very satisfactory and ready for spring.
