Archived: lenticular clouds

This one is from 2009 so am archiving it.

I came across this photo from years ago. I remember taking it with my little pocket camera. These are called lenticular clouds. It took me a while to identify them because they are new to me. It would have been awesome to see these when I was outside with my 4th graders learning about clouds. I imagine there would have been lots of talk about flying saucers. :-)
