Bookham Common

This is one of the ways onto Bookham Common. There is a cattle grid and speed restrictions to protect the Common. It looks so brown and dreary, miserable January.
But I wasn’t miserable because I drove myself there! My car has passed its MOT and I decided after a long gap I should drive again. Norman came out with me for this first trip and we had a drive around the village. It was absolutely no problem, and so much easier than walking! And now I am independent again!
