Opportunity lost.
Edit 25 June - finally writing something! Have also caught up to date.
If I had a camera lens in my eyes today I could have taken some cracking shots today but always just seemed to miss the opportunity.
Headed up to London this morning slightly(!) disgruntled at having to miss the Lions game. My frustration almost became relief though when I turned off the A3 and saw all the parking signs for Wimbledon. At least I'm not working there the next couple of weeks!
Aha I thought, Wimbledon. That'll make a good photo but with a fair on the common and the tournament almost ready to go every available spot for parking had a police cone in it. I'd gone to work in flip-flops and after 3 hours in the pool my feet simply weren't up to parking a decent way away and walking.
Then I headed to Richmond Park thinking I might get a decent shot of cyclists as preparation for the Tour. As I was walking out of the car park I saw a chap (and yes it probably was a "chap" - this was Richmond Park after all!) riding one of these into the cafe area. I was so stunned as he seemingly floated in on this strange device that I just stared and didn't take any photos. D'oh! It's not only the camera I need before I get any good at this blip lark.
A beautiful drive around the park and then home for a lazy afternoon of watching sport on TV. It's so nice not to have things I should be doing nagging away in the back of my brain while I'm being lazy.
