a hole in the fence
some lovely sunshine to end the week, but still a blustery wind! So that didn't make for an easy time birdwatching this morning on a wander! Most of the little birds were keeping out of the wind - sensible! Still I did see fieldfare, goldfinches, skylarks, meadow pipit, swans, geese, wigeon, and had a nice chat with another birder as we compared notes as to what we had seen!
And a hole in a fence provided my blip as I just loved glimpsing the tree through it.
Even managed to get the grass cut this afternoon too so at least the wind is doing a good job of drying everything out! A butterfly has been seen in the local area too - red admiral - according to a facebook post! time to start looking out for any strays about!
