The Woodpecker Moon

The first full moon of the year is known as the Wolf Moon.  Local legends have it that in 1390 the last wolf in England was shot at Humphrey Head, just a couple of miles from here.  As I was clearly too late to silhouette a wolf in front of the moon I lined up our Metalbird woodpecker instead.
