Gran Canaria

On the way to La Gomera, via Tenerife, we did a fly past of Gran Canaria, the mountains of which I've come to know very well after three visits, mainly on the bike. We arrived at our AirBnb (up 250 steps from the church in the centre of San Sebastian) a good few hours late, after missing the ferry we'd booked. Our flight was much delayed.

Apparently, it was too windy at Leeds-Bradford Airport to refuel the plane! So, the pilot announced that he had about enough in the tank for the short hop to Stansted and we refuelled there instead. It meant that we were sat on the plane for well over 7 hours in all, which was actually fine because there was a big editing job that I had queued up, one of those that needed to be done in one sitting, moving lots of things around, and I finished just as we got to this point where we Gran Canaria came into view. A long but rather wonderful day.
