Jasmine Joy

Thrilled to see all the buds on the jasmine we planted - surprised they're red; will the flowers be white?? (Embarrassed about the photo quality, but it's what I got on a quick venture outside with my phone.)

Another beautiful day spent mostly indoors on Zoom, sigh. 

Eight years ago today we arrived in a rainy and cold Alentejo, see the extra, and following days if interested (and for an explanation of my journal name). That first year we remember as mostly just surviving, with some moments of joy and beauty, and some good musical events.

Gratefuls:
- the grace and the faithful support of folk in England that kept us going through some hard times  
- the way our family has grown and prospered during these years: a new son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and two more grandkids
- Padre Luís's care for us making such a difference
