Kara’s yearly edition of haggis, neeps and tatties where she only eats the haggis and has third portions of that!

Boiler packed in today. We have Scottish / British Gas (same thing in the end) Home Care so thought with having no heating and no hot water with a 3 year old they’d be able to help us. Nope. We can get someone to you at some point on Saturday afternoon. Two days without hearing. In January. In Aberdeenshire. Not ideal to say the least. Luckily our neighbour had the name of a local boiler person who kindly came out this afternoon. Fan is knackered. He used to work for British Gas and said we should give them ‘merry hell’ for that treatment. He also happened to have the British Gas area manager on speed dial and explained the situation. Now we have an appointment tomorrow with the spare part being ordered too. Fingers crossed it’ll be all that’s needed and we’ll be cosy warm again soon.
