A Visit to the Garden/Farmyard Centre

The pull of the Garden Centre is that it has become the Sunday Supermarket selling everything from furniture to clothes to videos to amusing cards, coffee and cakes, even shrubs and flowers in artificially encouraged glory set to fade when transplanted to our care. The Cathedral of Consumerism flaunts many attractions but the one I was in today had scarce a tool for sale since we do not 'cultivate' gardens only decorate them.
However I came away with an illustration for Animal Farm, satisfying my need for a Blip. So my scorn was tempered by these attractive creatures destined to be scattered to local gardens.
