Butterfly

It is no wonder some people have nicknamed these delicate critters "flutterbys". Capturing a picture of one can be a huge challenge because they won't pose, they just flutter by the camera. That's what they were doing to me today, but I finally found one that sat still long enough for a few snaps. The only other competitor for today's blip was this deer.

Our weather was hot and sticky today. Summer has really arrived. We do not have AC in our house, but I think it is time to get the AC units in the bedroom windows. Hope that happens soon, but it is up to Bob. His job for today (and tomorrow) is replacing a window pane in the back door and painting the door. Hopefully, after that, cooling the bedroom is next on the agenda. I'm crossing my fingers!
