A bit of brightness

But not out of the woods yet.

J was down to 2 litres of supplemental oxygen (from the 15 litres he needed Fri evening) and they’d decided he was stable enough to disconnect the continuous monitoring system. Speech therapist said he could have small amounts of drink and puréed food with someone to assist him (though most of his hydration is still through the drip). So objectively an improvement. Subjectively I am not sure he was as alert as yesterday.

Using the bus to get to the hospital was much less stressful than spending at least half an hour trying to find somewhere to park, and only a little slower.
