New Glass

I couldn't manage to get The Two Ronnies logo - so this will need to do.

Some time was spent trying to stabilise the sapwood on the Yew blanks this morning. Whether it works or not ........... watch this space!

We went to get some frozen stuff (it is Old Farts' Discount Day) and some bread products......and my new glasses. That message came as a surprise as it is only a week since they were ordered and I had been told they would take three.

There was an message came through t'interweb from SWMBO's bridesmaids daughter saying that she, her partner, her new son and her two dogs (one of which was the one attacked by the XL Bully I spoke about in December) are coming up for a few days to see her grandfather.
They are going to be staying in a place about 10 minutes from us so we will be going to see them at some point.
She also told us that Margaret (her mother) had been involved in a car accident in Italy while on her skiing holiday ..... but is okay.

She was a passenger and took the full force of some idiot failing to keep their car in a straight line. She has broken several ribs, her sternum and done damage to her spine. Not so much that she didn't discharge herself from hospital after 2 days, get a taxi to take her on a 2 hour drive to Lake Como for the night before another similar taxi ride to the airport and home. She also walked about 2 miles (in the metal 'cage' she was fitted into) to the hospital in Lake Como to have a canula removed .... and then back again.
When SWMBO was on the phone to her she got an absolute roasting from us.
