2024 Monday — Headed to SoCal

We exited the house at approximately 7:25 in a light rain, got the pups situated in the car, and we were rolling down the road. We had said last night that if rain was pouring, we’d wait a day to travel.

Twice in our journey today, we drove thru heavy rain — between Santa Maria and Buellton and again on the east side of Pasadena.

Our driving time was 4 hours 35 minutes and overall time was 5 hours 10 minutes (which included 3 stops: Buellton, Wendy Drive, and San Dimas).

We are thankful for a safe journey. We’ll be here five nights and head back this Saturday. I have a routine couple of appointments with my ophthalmologist and I also need to gather the necessary paperwork to prepare and be ready for our tax appointment in early March.
