Older but no wiser.

This is an extendable link to the lower bar of the 3 point linkage on the tractor which unscrewed itself yesterday and dumped the slasher on the ground doing a bit of damage to the thread. Try as I might I couldn’t screw it back in so I contacted rustycrapp who says “no problem, I’ve got a re-threading file, bring it over”.
So I took it over this morning and while we were still performing the traditional greetings, he screwed it in with his bare hands leaving me wide-eyed and speechless. He then asked if I knew it was a left hand thread!!!
It was one of my more embarrassing moments but I thought I’d better blip it before rustycrapp or isbi embellish the story even further.
