Jokulsarlon Lagoon, sunset

Great day, and we didn't have to pack our cases this morning, as we have two nights in the same accommodation.

Spent most of the day at Jokulsaron lagoon - started on the beach at the turn of the tide, where icebergs lay on the black volcanic sand, moved onto the lagoon mid-morning. Round to another lagoon and really close to the glacier for lunch. Took a boat ride around the lagoon to get really close to the ice after lunch, and after returning to our accommodation for an early dinner (well, earlier than the 9.30 dinner last night!) we returned to the beach and the lagoon for sunset!

Brilliant weather, perfect day, could have blipped any one of 50 photos, but I liked the composition and reflections in this one.

This is turning into a truly incredible week, I think Iceland is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places in the world.
