First bloom!

This is our first little Iris to bloom, isn't it pretty? It's very tenacious - it's been blowing a gale and it still managed to stay upright! 
The wind that accompanied Storm Isha left lots of fallen trees and caused power outages, and Storm Jocelyn is due to arrive tomorrow afternoon!
