The Railway Children

Thanks for hosting steveng - film or book today and I thought I was going to struggle.

Gone with the Wind would have suited the current weather.
But on the morning walk I went down the side of the allotments and wondered if I could get a passing train….

The line is just at the end of our road and I can just about see them from sitting on the settee as they arrive/leave Saltburn. In fact I’ve always lived within striking distance of a railway and always loved the film as a child, when railways were quite romantic and evocative.

So, there we are - the train arriving at Saltburn!
