The Birds

Still chilly, so I was able to make reference to both the book and the film 'The Birds'.

Daphne du Maurier's short story was written in 1952, and Hitchcock's famous film based on it was made in 1963. Although the film was made in colour, I first saw it in monochrome on the television, and I thought that the simple footprints of the bird in the photo gave a nod to the dark atmosphere of the film, in which flocks of larger-than-life birds would strike the characters.
