Madeira

We visited the Farmer’s market and botanical gardens in Madeira today. We really enjoyed the trip and the weather was lovely - low 20s and blue skies. We saw many wonderful plants including azaleas, orchids, poinsettias and bird of paradise. The latter are considered weeds here!  The streets are very steep, so it was an interesting coach ride. Our guide was very knowledgeable which made it all the more fun. Great.
