The romance of the Cup

Sorry. It’s football again. I’ve been catching up with the weekend’s Scottish Cup third round ties, where some of the wee clubs get to play some of the big clubs. There wasn’t much giant killing,  but there were some romantic  fixtures.
     The Spartans versus Heart of Midlothian. Great names and a close run thing. I liked the way the supporters were not segregated but mingled happily together. There was Bonnyrigg Rose’s deserved unseating of Falkirk, then Buckie Thistle went to Celtic Park, without any fear and a lot of cash entered their club’s coffers. (They lost 0-5)
