Another busy day. JP preached this morning which now is quite rare for him as we are blessed with so many people who can preach at WBC. So different from our time in Bedfordshire!
After the service we had a members meeting to vote on a new minister - and we are thrilled that he was voted in. A young family guy with an incredible preaching gift. I’m sure he will be great.
This afternoon we were going to Abbotsbury gardens but they were closed because of the wind so instead we had a walk around Abbotsbury village. It’s a lovely village full of history. We wandered around the church and saw the holes in the in the back canopy of the Jacobean pulpit. These were made by musket shots in September 1664 when Parliamentary forces expelled the Royalist outpost from the church!
