The breakfast buffet is better than expected. As well as the usual Western foods there is a noodle dish and fried vegetables in soy. A great way to start the day.
We had down to the local jetty a and but ahop-on hop-off day ticket. It's very warm, but the breeze on the river keeps us slightly cooler. We watch temples and palaces go by on both banks. In the distance the downtown skyscrapers seem insubstantial through the heat.
We get off at the last stop and wander a few blocks. It's clear that we're nowhere near done with our jetlag and soon we're sipping cold beers on a side street. Feeling a bit peckish we had for a local street food court, cooled by half a dozen of the biggest overhead fans that I've ever seen. There's a good choice of vendors to choose from and based on our linked sample they were all excellent.
Back down the river for an afternoon snooze at the hotel, followed by an early evening cocktail on Rambuttri Road. And then to a small eatery called Khiang on Phra Athit Road for more excellent food and smiley, happy service (extra).
