An Emergency Blip

As my wife Lisa says..."I am so mad right now." Why?

I forced myself out for the sunrise this morning, and it was c-o-l-d. 38F with a stiff wind. I took maybe 15 shots and my hand got so cold that I had to return to my van to warm up. So that's all I got...15 shots of a pelican in front of the sunrise.

Move ahead 13 hours. I load my SD card on to my computer, and there are no new pictures. I load it back into the camera and it states...Card Reader Error. I tossed the card, but I have no picture of the day...and it is dark outside.

I finished this painting this morning, and I will probably donate it to the local library.

How many birds, and how many books?

28 and 176. A busy painting...very busy.

My favorite bird(s) in the piece? The nine little sandpipers along the bottom, each carrying 1 book.

P.S. How could I forget to mention our Detroit Lions football team? WOO-HOO! After a win against Tampa Bay today, we are going to the NFC Championship game next week against the San Francisco 49ers. WOO-HOO!
