Heron Off

Jack heron was perched in the eucalyptus on the island in the lake when we approached this afternoon. It's such a shame as usually at this time of year this massive tree is smothered in flowers like snowflakes. None of those and many of the leaves are brown and shrivelled. It still has a few green leaves. I wonder if it will survive? Jack didn't hang around for long.
