Not Suburbia
At first glance Jan seems to be snowshoeing through the wilds of the Swedish forest, and indeed we had been out in the forest, once again treading out the same path that has been covered by snow again and again this year.
However, in this picture we had just returned and Jan is actually in our garden, behind Betty's. On the right in the picture is Betty's veranda. The snow is deep enough that Jan has no problems checking what the veranda roof looks like! Through the trees in the centre our neighbours' red house is visible, and the back of another neighbour's cabin is visible on the left. One of the joys of living in this part of the world is that there is room to spread out a little. Houses don't have to be crowded tightly together.
Our Red House is now all prepared for our visitors arriving tomorrow evening, and I think we'll be going to bed early.
