Hellebore

From first thing this morning I knew it wasn't going to be walking weather so I set off for church in the relative calm before the storm. Not lingering too long after the service I headed for home. Plenty of rain, puddles and soakings as overtaking cars sent up showers of water.

Driving into the driveway I thought I spotted a bit of a paper cup lying on the earth .... on closer investigation it was a Hellabore struggling against the inclement conditions.

My black bin has already been blown over and it will remain where it is until I venture out tomorrow. Hope you all mange a good night's sleep despite the noise of the wind and rain.
