Silly Saturday Not!

I’m writing this on sunday just to update things here. We had no internet most of the week and there wasn’t a way to get on blip.
We finally got our water back on by plumbers capping the outside pipe that broke . There is no inside water shut off which had complicated things. But next the power went out Thursday til sat am . After 18 hours it just got too cold. We were rescued by out Dil’s father who was home from travels and had a place for us . That hot shower felt great as did a warm bed to sleep in!!
When we got home the power was back on and the ice today— Sunday — is finally melting . I’d never seen an ice storm like this before . The side roads were a sheen of treacherous ice as were all walkways to the home . Right now our main worries are for our kids getting their home damages restored as they are in a hotel til it gets done as us Comments Only as she lives with them. The kids school was damaged badly too , so it’s been cancelled again all week . At least 11 other schools are shut down too.
Big thanks to blippers I know that texted me names of plumbers and offered their showers and warmth! ( Kendall, Sue, Kate thank you) Even NewExperiments offered a guest room in Kingston Wa and despite her ongoing health issues offered it up! Thank you all!! All of your emotional support was priceless and appreciated.
I hope others here get help soon. I just saw a big truck go by carrying honey buckets so I know that’s not a good sign !!
