Earlier that same afternoon
Entertainment was interrupted last night as I had to ferry Mary to Hatston for the boat from Shetland and to Aberdeen. She was trying to get over the Firth before the predicted balmy breeze arrives. Meantime – back at the party - Ian stunned everyone by arriving with a magnificent cheesecake he had made. This has raised the bar. So much so in fact that I had to do the washing up. Today I phoned Pete to arrange delivery (via Karen) of a heater that he wants rid of. A quick walk up to Grindallay. Yet more Eberhard Weber.
The rain gauge is in therapy.
