Waiting his turn

The Common Starlings were having a wonderful time cooling down today. The Weavers and Sparrows were all having turns too, and I had to keep refilling the bird bath. You can see it was a hot day, although early this morning it was chilly and misty.
Church this morning, after which we visited our ex neighbour in her new retirement home. We were very impressed with it, lovely and roomy and bright, but I do miss her!
Sister M came this afternoon and we enjoyed a quiet day. The dogs were happy to stay indoors out of the heat.
