Tebay terrace

Whenever we pass this row of terraced houses just south of Tebay Services on the M6 I admire the colour scheme and think how much the range of colours must help in dull or wet weather.

I had planned this photo for my blip today, and for the whole of our journey through Scotland the sky was blue and the sun was shining. On approaching the border rain began to fall and I doubted whether this photo would be possible. Fortunately it dried enough to let me snap the scene while passing at 70mph on the motorway. Not much opportunity to recompose or focus if I got it wrong!
