Saturday: Fort Lauderdale River Walk

We’ve had a wonderfully full day.  We started off by getting some breakfast and a coffee which we took to the beach.  We sat on benches and just watched the waves roll in.  From there, we took the car and drove into downtown Fort Lauderdale - we’re actually staying just outside in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.  

We enjoyed a really long walk along the river and then on the main boulevard, where we also had lunch.  Then back to our neighbourhood where K took a dip in the sea.  I was too cowardly….but did have a dip in the pool when we got back.

Needless to say we located a microbrewery, which we followed with a nice dinner. We got chatting to some men at the table next to ours - one of them lives in our neighbourhood in London and knows our local pub!
