Turdus philomelos hebridensis..

We have our own sub-species on the islands, P. t. Hebridensis wihch is the darkest subspecies with a dark brown back, greyish rump, pale buff background colour to the underparts and grey-tinged flanks. 
This one decided to pose nicely on a post at Balranald. Certtianly dark, I am not so sure about the grey-tinged flanks.
