Flights for 50p
Went cycling with Mick & Coral today which was lovely despite, or perhaps because of the rather overcast conditions. At one point, we were in Breachwood green, a village on the flight path of Luton airport and the planes were coming in every 3 - 4 minutes. I struggled to get a photo as I only had a compact camera with me and when I zoomed in I simply couldn't find the planes in the sky using the viewfinder. Luckily, I did manage 1 half decent shot (this one), and the lamp post helps to show just how low they come in over the village.
As for the title, all of the planes were low cost airlines and it reminded me of a song by Fascinating Aida called 'Flights for 50p'. If you haven't heard it, you really should listen.
Mick managed to achieve something today, a photo of me that I rather like. Sadly I can't post it as I didn't take it, and a blip is supposed to be a photo i have taken - them's the rules.
Mick and Coral are coming round for dinner tonight as is Tim the birthday boy. The dogs on Friday was also for Tim's birthday, but he wasn't a particularly happy bunny, He's off wok the next two days, so I'm hoping that will put him in a good mood tonight. Failing that, I can always keep his wine glass topped up. that usually does the trick.
