WILD PONIES
On the Long Mynd.
The snow and frost have gone and now it’s raining and very windy.. Even though the day was scrubbed for flying due to the inclement weather we took off up to the Gliding Club to take back the parachutes which Mr HB had taken for re-packing. (Parachutes whether they have been used or not, need to be pulled and repacked every 6 months – it is not the law but obviously a very sensible and safe thing to do, especially when Club parachutes are used when giving trial lessons to the public). Mr HB has looked after the parachutes for many years and now that he is not doing so much flying it is nice for him, and me, to have the opportunity to visit the Club and sit and natter with old friends.
I had hoped for a good walk but the wind was evil and the beautiful views obscured. Glad to catch a few shots of the ponies from the car on the way back down the big hill.
