Eye Eye

Just some owls today.
In fact all the owls that were dotted about in the old garden and came with us. We had a small tidy up outside this afternoon and just grouped them all together for now. One of them lost an eye years ago, but the scratch on big daddy is new, maybe sustained in transit??

When the van was unloaded they got put all over the place and some of the pots and troughs were put outside at the front, so we brought them round to the back today too.

It’s not the weather to do anything outside at the moment, and in any case, the garden will need a bit of thought. We were pleased to see the sleepers retaining the back border, and they will lend themselves to something, we just don’t know what yet, but we have started to vaguely discuss what we might like.

The artificial grass that was put down for us was a temporary solution so the dogs would stay clean and have somewhere to wander. Laying real grass in December was pointless and it was either that or leave it as bare earth. Again, that would have been a disaster dog-wise.

Anyway, the only other highlight of the day was a video call with Nicoiseannie. Not something I am used to doing so I apologise if I seemed technically incapable at times :-)

It was so good to catch up and we’ve booked another one for Thursday. Hopefully it can morph into a regular virtual get together. It certainly will during February as we are joint hosting the Tiny Tuesday challenge which will be fun.
