Missed It

I'm fairly adept of photographing birds in flight but I just missed the 'action' on this light pole. Red-shouldered hawks mate very quickly, and I wasn't able to get my camera to my eye fast enough to catch what most likely would have been an interesting shot. As we walked, I watched as he pursued the focus of his affections from tree to tree through the neighborhood. I knew that 'The Shot' would present itself eventually...but missed it anyway. Oh well, maybe next time. Oh...he's on the left.
