The miniature iris reticulata is flowering again

I suddenly noticed these little flowers gracing the area outside the back door, in a small pot. They are tiny flowers, but pack quite a punch of spring beauty. Just about the first flowers of the year in our garden as the primulas haven't yet fully opened.

I took the pot into the cabin where I could be out of the wind, so that the flowers didn't move around too much. But I couldn't find a place where I could do much justice to their shapes and colours. I feel this is a token gesture and may revisit them before long and while they are still blooming. they have gone back out onto a spot outside the back door so I can look at them from a warm place in the dining room.
