Beauty is all around us.

Rain and snow on the hills.

A cold, damp, rainy Saturday morning, 3c and the snow is melting, but visible on Pendle Hill and Hameldon Hill. The circular blocks of ice from the garden buckets, are heavy and solid.
I fed both cats and then walked slowly and with some trepidation, along the pavement and road with slushy pockets of snow, to buy our newspaper and get some exercise. The narrow path past the hen pen was not great to walk on, so I decided to walk home a slightly longer way, on a less snowy pavement. The grit is like gold dust from the Council, and the more residential roads and pavements were not gritted. I saw a few dog walkers out and well wrapped up against the harsh wet and windy weather.
I was glad it was warm when I got home. Since then I have been busy doing a series of housework tasks, cleaning, tidying and laundry. The cats like to play with the plants and so I had to clear up some E
earrth and glass beads they had stewn on the carpet. They are so amusing at times but currently sleeping. Paul is doing puzzles from the newspaper.
Have a good Saturday and enjoy whatever you are doing blip friends. It is brightening up.
Thanks for recent kind comments.
