Font Fuchsia

An unusual first birthday present to me, several decades ago, was a christening font made from granite.

It's a size suitable for a bird bath, and that's been my use for it at the 8 houses I've lived in over the last 24 years.

Today it sits stolidly behind a blooming fuchsia and azalea, which throw new vibrant pink colour against the mottled grey of history.
