The Thaw

Today's exciting excursion (not) was a trip to Tesco for some milk.  The thaw had set in by early morning, which made the paths even slushier.  Given that the snow clearance is variable, it made for slippy slidy walking again.  Tesco goes down a point for not having cleared any walkways.  The carpark and roads were clear, but it was difficult if you were walking.
These icicles were festooning the front of the house, some right over the front door.  Later in the day, snow slithered off the roof noisily.  The waxy look of melting snow is not nearly as appealing as the newly-fallen.
