Ice Flowers

Bright blue skies today, but even colder this morning, -5 in the garden at 10.30am when I went out to feed the birds. Yesterday’s ice baubles are still hanging intact on the Christmas tree, and, as predicted, Mrs Tiggywinkle’s water froze solid. Thankfully there was no sign of her having visited last night, hopefully she was tucked up somewhere warm. The “ice flowers” were on the inside of the greenhouse.

A morning of admin, followed by a cosy afternoon watching the film “Hope and Glory”, with dad reliving his childhood in wartime Liverpool.

UPDATE: just looked out at 9pm and Mrs Tiggywinkle is out there eating cat bics, it’s -1.
