Finally Friday!

Going to the office was a challenge today. Not because there was still a lot of ice on our roads, but because no-one in the city seems to bother about clearing sidewalks. 

Not even in front of shops you could walk without fearing to slip and fall. It's always like this in the city of Kaiserslautern. While here in the flat country people go outside and clear sidewalks whenever it's necessary (and just about everybody does!) not too many people care in the city. I do not understand that. I had to get a little something from the wool shop after work and walked slithered there; afterwards I took the bus to the train station. Only a few hundred meters from the wool store to the train station, but I had no desire of breaking a bone on the way. I should have blipped a sidewalk, but didnt think about that. Trying to get on the other side of the street was just as adventurous. 
That was more than 24 hours after the last snowflake fell. Oh, and the same conditions at the big bus station in front of the train station. If it had been snow, it would have been fine. But walking on ice? Walk like a penguin!? I tried.

Blip was taken on my way home from the Kranichwoog parking lot. The street conditions here are what I would expect, so no complaining (and no problem driving).
