No Stop!
Early this morning, I went to the bathroom and saw flashing lights through the velux roof window. Looking outside was a 'One Stop' articulated lorry on it's side on the A40 dual carriageway, Goodrich (Herefordshire, UK) surrounded by all the emergency services and their vehicles. There was an enormous tail back of traffic in both directions.
The blipfoto is looking North towards Ross on Wye, showing the One Stop lorry on its side. It was -6C and the traffic didn't clear until 11 'ish - not ideal if your vehicle is electric or low on fuel. I can imagine the workers at the scene were frozen! Something I don't miss anymore.
They are still trying to recover the lorry at 5.30pm this evening, with traffic now flowing North but the carriageway blocked travelling South bound. My neighbour says his wife heard the crash at 5.30am with the driver shouting for help. We heard nothing! Looks like the driver is okay according to news
A case of One Stop that couldn't stop!
The weekend starts with a walk over to our local this evening with our friends and neighbours. We'll stop for one - or two!
