Freebee!!!

Two poppy plants appeared in the pot with the tulips, self-seeded, I certainly didn't plant them.

This one (picture taken about a week ago) opened up over night and was such a surprise. They stand about 5ft (1.5 metres) tall in the pot, so are not the easiest to photograph, especially as there is a fair old wind blowing and they are wafting about!! I did think of standing on a garden chair to get a better view, but sense prevailed!!

It will be interesting to see if this is a "couple of days" wonder, or if the tightly folded petals prolong its flowering period!!

We will see!!!
