Godwits enjoying in the sunshine

The Sun is shining.....Went to South Shore Spit this afternoon, in preparation to see the Super Moon rise. got there an hour or so earlier and as the tide was extremely high the birds were closer to us. It was fun to watch these guys react to the waves coming in, they don't like getting their feet wet too much. so they'd fly away then circle round and land again. great for practising one's timing.
