through glass

We seem to be getting about an hour’s bright sun in the afternoons. I thought this glass bird looked really nice with the sun shining through it and how every little air bubble in the bird was enhanced. The wall at the back of the bookshelves is a nice light purple but the sun’s so bright it’s drained all the colour out of it. My auntie Laurie gave me the bird many years ago, she loved glass items. It’s a tad bigger than a blackbird.
