Was about all I could quote form Standard Grade English circa 1984.
Fast forward 40 years and daughter sat her advanced English prelim yesterday so to celebrate we went to see Ralph Fiennes in Macbeth the show at the Royal Highland Centre. Less a play, more of an event with a relatively small crowd and intimate stage.
Within spitting distance of the phenomenal Voldemort. He carried the play with true stage presence. Lady Macbeth, Indira Varma, mesmerising. I was surprised that I could follow it, I remember the first time not having a baldy clue what’s was going on but the language truly came to life.
