Starlings

The new fat balls and the new feeder tray were both a huge success with the starlings, which hung around in a gang for most of the morning.

I have plastic netting around the bird table so only the small birds can get at it, otherwise the pigeons, magpies and jackdaws would scoff the lot in short order. One determined starling persevered for ages and got their head in far enough to get at the goodies but the bulk of the suet pellets and mealworms were still out of reach.
